Convergence is about recapturing the vision of Christianity as a movement.

We want to be a community of believers seeking and engaging in the redemptive mission of Jesus together in Austin.  We will begin by inviting new university graduates to converge in the same place to live life together and be the presence of Jesus in the same community.  Together, we will cultivate redemptive relationships with people in our neighborhood and workplace.  We will reach out to people, get to know them, invite them into our homes and day-to-day activities, and plant the seed of God’s Word in the course of our relationship with them.

By simply being the presence of Jesus and being faithful witnesses, people will be drawn to Jesus and resolve to follow His Way of life.  Then, as people are reached, we will gather them into disciple communities where there is fellowship, devotion to God’s Word, accountability, and intercessory prayer for others who need to know of God's love and the coming of His Kingdom.

Convergence is committed to pursuing a model of Christian community which is natural, relational, simple, and easily reproducible.  This organic approach to church planting is not new, nor is it innovative.  We simply want to join God in what He is already doing to redeem lost people and gather them to Himself.  Sound interesting?  Connect with us and see where your talents, abilities, interests and lifestyle fits into what God is doing.
